September

Afternoon readers,

I was watching the rain running down the windows and tapping on the skylights in the kitchen today and thought to myself, let’s have a little chat. Writing on cosy days like this one is where the creativity truly flows. Sitting in candle lit room in an oversized hoodie and fluffy socks, looking out to the cold grey sky and watching the leaves fall = serenity.

I am lustful for autumnal days like these. When the day feels slow and calm whilst the season changes from summer to autumn. FALL-ing in love with home interior colours and seasonal food flavours. Clothes are complimented with cute jackets, beanies and boots. Comfort becomes key with a pop of burnt orange and teddy borg filling out a jumper or jacket.

Don’t get me wrong, there is an absolute bliss and beauty to a summers morning listening to the birds and having a fresh glass or orange juice sat in the sunshine and to be sat watching the sun setting in the pink sky with a glass of wine after a classic summertime BBQ. But there is something about the season changing for me that fills me with so much joy and comfort.

That first day waking up and not wanting to leave the warmth of your thick duvet, and getting a morning coffee or hot chocolate and sitting listening to the rain on the windows…

Happy Tuesday, and thank you for reading my little autumnal-positive chat.
